Frequently asked questions

Q:  What is happening to my TCF or Chemical Bank credit card?

A:  The relationship between First Bankcard and TCF Bank has ended as of June 8, 2021. Beginning July 1, 2021, you will begin seeing FNBO branding on your account and you will receive an FNBO branded card in the mail soon thereafter. Your account number, expiration and CVV code will remain the same.

Q:  What will happen with my credit card statements?

A:   You will keep receiving credit card statements as you have been (online or paper), and after June 8, 2021, your statement will show the new FNBO branding.

Q:   Will my digital access change, such as website and mobile app?

A:   Beginning July 15, 2021 you will be converted to the firstbankcard.com/FNBO website for all of your online account management needs. Please bookmark this new site as of July 15, 2021 for your convenience. All of your information will remain the same, but the site branding will change to FNBO. Your mobile app will also convert to the First Bankcard app. You will need to download the new mobile app and delete the TCF mobile app.

Q:   If I have rewards, will my program change?

A:   You will receive a letter in late June regarding your rewards program and any changes. Please keep the letter and associated Rewards Terms & Conditions for future reference.

Q:   What if I currently have automatic account payments or recurring bill payments set up with my account?

A:   If you have Automatic Payments (AutoPay) set up to pay your TCF or Chemical Bank credit card account, you will not need to make any changes to your payment information for your new FNBO account. If you have Recurring Bill Payments set up to pay bills using your TCF or Chemical Bank credit card, your new FNBO credit card will have the same account number, expiration date and CVV, so no action will be required.

Q:   Can I still use my TCF or Chemical Bank credit card?

A:   Please continue to use your current credit card until your new FNBO card arrives. When you receive your new FNBO card, please destroy and safely dispose of your TCF or Chemical Bank credit card.
